Literature Text

There once was a kingdom where light washed over the land and its people were prosperous and happy.  Though unaware they were of the true darkness that made this kingdom happy. In the main royal castle there was a room where a princess sat, wearing a long pink dress and singing a happy tune. She had been trapped in that room for all of her life. The only other person that was really there was the bell ringer, though he was above the princess in a different room hidden from sight. Now, the bell ringers' job is different than from what you may think. Above the princess is a huge bell, bigger that the room she was in, and if she failed to fall in love with the prince of choice, then the bell ringer would drop the bell on her and it would soon fill up the room with poison, killing her. After that, they would move on to the next princess. Of course, the red-headed princess didn't know about this. She just sat there and waited for the day she would be able to meet her prince. Now, so that the kingdom didn't look bad to the people, the king and queen didn't tell the commoners that they locked the princess up in a room. They even let some of the young men come and meet her and try to court her as many men from different places came to try and become the princesses' true love. In this story there are only four people of any importance. The Princess, the Bell Ringer, the Prince, and the spy.
The first prince walked into her room. That man had blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He wore a huge smile as he made eye contact with the princess. He bowed deeply and the princess curtsied elegantly, while smiling softly.
"Hello, Princess Kairi of Radiant Garden. I am Prince Ventus from The Land of Departure" he said, standing up straight at the end of his sentence. The princess giggled then replied, "Hello prince, I am pleased to meet you. Would you like to sit down and talk so we could get to know each other better?"
"I would love that," he replied softly. The prince walked toward her chair, pulled it back, and she then sat in it, ringing a little bell calling for snacks. Next thing you know, a rushed maid walked in with tea and petite sandwiches.
"Thank you, Xion," the princess replied, grabbing a sandwich and pouring some tea for herself and the prince. They talked for the longest time, laughing and giggling until the hour was over and the first prince had to leave.
"Good bye, my Princess Kairi" he said, hugging her. Kairi giggled again and hugged him back, then sat back down as he walked out the door. Once it shut she quickly ran to grab a small purple book, her diary, and wrote a few things in it.
Prince Ventus of the land of departure- Prince number one is a very sweet boy. He has many manners and knows how to give you a good time, and how to make you feel very happy, but he does not seem to be my prince.
The next man was a commoner. When he walked in, Kairi quickly put down her diary and stood up. This man bowed as well.
"Hello Princess Kairi. I am a guard from Destiny Islands. My name is Riku." He said, looking up with a sly smile. Kairi laughed on that note and curtsied.
"That's an interesting job, Riku," she giggled. "So, what do you like most about it?" They then went into a deep conversation. Then the hour was up and it was the second prince's time to leave. He also hugged her, but this time added a kiss on the top of her head. The princess blushed wildly, her heart beating fast.
"Goodbye, Riku," She muttered as he left, still a bit mind boggled. Suddenly she remembered her diary and went to write in it.
Prince Ventus of the land of departure- Prince number one is a very sweet boy. He has many manners and knows how to give you a good time and make you feel very happy, but he does not seem to be my prince.
Guard Riku from Destiny Islands- Prince number two though not technically a prince is very adventurous and fun. He was very outgoing and made me blush multiple times. Especially with his kiss at the end, even if it was only atop my head.

After that multiple men came in and the line had shortened immensely until only one person was left. The worn out princess looked up at the man and was breath taken. He had brown spiky hair and bright blue eyes that matched hers.
"Hi Princess! I'm Prince Sora of Destiny Islands," he said smoothly with a big grin, and bowed.
"H-hi," she stuttered, then curtsied.
"Are you alright? You must be tired from all those guys, huh? That line was long... I think I was going to die from boredom… I thought I'd never be able to see your beautiful face, but at least I get to see it now." When he said that Kairi almost forgot to breathe, and tried to imagine how red her face must be.
"Thanks," she replied, trying to hide her face in her shoulder–length hair.
"Look up. I wanna see your pretty eyes, "he said softly, pushing her dark red hair to the side. She looked up at him and smiled.
"A-are you hungry or something? Can I get you food or water or anything?" she said quickly, trying desperately to change the subject.
"Of course! That would be sweet. Should we sit over there?" He said, walking to the table with his hand on her back, gently guiding her, then pulling out her seat so she could sit. Kairi rang the bell and her flustered little maid came again but with different things. She had a full turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. "That looks delicious!" exclaimed Sora as he grabbed his fork and was about to stuff his face, before he took control of himself and remembered he was a prince. At that, Kairi just giggled.
"You can eat" she said, taking a bite herself. Sora then nodded happily and dug in to the food. They ate dinner in silence, though, until they were done. Sora was done far before the princess. Once she was done, she looked up and found that the hour had passed.
"Oh, I'm sorry, but it's time for you to go," she breathed sadly.
"But I don't want to leave," he whispered into her ear, kissing it softly. First he kissed her on her ear, then moved on to her jawline, up to her cheek, and then one final kiss on her lips. Kairi kissed him back until they let go and he left. For a couple of moments she just stood there, breathless, until she crawled onto her bed. She went to grab her diary but then decided against it because she could remember everything about him. He was the prince, he had to be, nobody else was coming. While she was laying there daydreaming, outside of her small room the guards and king and queen were talking. Apparently a surprise man came.
